Modern Accent Chairs with Armrests

Lobby Seating Contract Grade Custom Upholstery

This accent chair is built for commercial interior projects that require a defined silhouette, integrated armrest support, and upholstery that can be specified to match a project palette. The seat and backrest share a continuous upholstered shell, with armrests extending from the back frame at a height of 240 mm above the seat surface. The seat uses a 48 kg/m³ high-resilience foam core with a 26 kg/m³ top layer. The backrest is shaped with a 6-degree recline and a 30 mm lumbar padding zone. The frame is a combination of 25 mm steel tube and 12 mm molded plywood, finished in matte black, brushed brass, or powder-coated RAL colors. The chair is intended for hotel lobbies, reception areas, executive lounges, and premium waiting rooms.

Common Questions and Solutions

Can the armrests be removed for specific projects?
The armrests are integrated into the backrest frame and are not removable. For projects that require an armless version of the same chair profile, a separate armless model sharing the same seat shell and frame materials is available. MOQ for the armless model is 40 units.
How is the upholstery specified for large projects?
Fabric is specified by sample reference. A physical sample of the required fabric is retained for repeat orders. For projects above 200 units, custom dye lots can be produced. Lead time for custom dye lots is 35 to 45 days. Standard fabric colors ship in 20 to 30 days.
What is the difference between the frame finish options?
Matte black powder coat is the standard finish and suits most interior palettes. Brushed brass is a physical vapor deposition coating over steel and provides a warmer metal tone. RAL powder coat allows matching to a specific project color. Brushed brass and custom RAL add 7 to 10 days to the standard lead time.
How should the chair be cleaned and maintained?
Vacuum upholstery weekly with a soft brush attachment. For woven and boucle fabrics, use a foam cleaner and blot with a clean cloth. For velvet, brush in the pile direction after cleaning. For PU leather, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use solvent-based cleaners on fabric. Inspect the frame-to-seat connection every 6 months in continuous-use venues.
Is the chair suitable for high-traffic areas?
The chair is intended for moderate to heavy use in lobbies, lounges, and waiting areas. For venues with continuous turnover, specify upholstery at 50,000 Martindale cycles or PU leather. Velvet and boucle at 30,000 to 35,000 cycles are suited to lower-traffic or residential settings. The frame is rated at 160 kg static load.
Can a sample be provided before ordering?
Yes. A pre-production sample with the specified frame finish and upholstery can be provided for approval. Sample lead time is 10 to 15 days. The sample cost is credited against the production order for orders above 100 units.

Notes for Installation and Use

Inspect the armrest-to-backrest connection on delivery. The armrests are factory-fitted and should not require assembly. If any movement is detected at the connection point, contact the supplier before placing the chair in service.

Place the chair on level flooring. The frame has fixed glides and does not include height adjustment.

Do not sit on the armrests or use them as a step. The armrests are designed for forearm support only.

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight on velvet or boucle upholstery. Color shift may occur under sustained UV exposure.
