Dining Chairs with Gold Metal Legs

This dining chair pairs a fully upholstered seat and backrest with a gold-finished metal leg structure. The frame is constructed from 22 mm diameter steel tube with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm, finished with a multi-layer gold electroplating process that provides color depth and tarnish resistance. The seat and backrest use a plywood shell covered with a 40 kg/m³ high-resilience foam layer and a 22 kg/m³ soft foam layer, then wrapped in velvet, boucle, or PU leather. Gold leg finishes are available in three tones: bright gold, brushed gold, and champagne gold. The chair is intended for dining spaces in hotels, restaurants, clubs, and premium residential projects where metal leg finishes are part of the interior specification.

Common Questions and Solutions

How durable is the gold electroplated finish?
The finish passes a 48-hour salt spray test under indoor conditions. For normal restaurant use, the gold surface maintains appearance for 3 to 5 years. In high-humidity or coastal environments, a clear protective topcoat is recommended and available on request.
Can the gold finish be repaired if scratched?
Minor scratches can be treated with a gold touch-up pen available from the supplier. Deep scratches that expose the steel substrate require replacement of the affected leg. The legs are welded to the frame and are not individually replaceable in the field.
Which upholstery type is most suitable for dining use?
PU leather at 50,000 Martindale cycles is the most resistant to spills and wiping. Boucle at 35,000 cycles offers a textured appearance and is suitable for moderate use. Velvet at 25,000 cycles is intended for lower-traffic or residential settings.
Are replacement glides available?
Yes. Nylon and felt glides are available as separate items. Glides push into the leg opening and can be removed with a flat tool. No adhesive is used. Recommended replacement interval is every 12 months in high-traffic venues.

Notes for Installation and Use

A

Inspect the gold finish on all legs upon delivery. Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners on the electroplated surface.

Clean the gold legs with a soft dry cloth. For fingerprints, use a damp microfiber cloth and dry immediately.

C

Avoid dragging the chair on hard floors. Lift the chair when moving it to prevent damage to the gold finish and glides.

D

Do not stack these chairs. The gold finish may be scratched by contact with other metal frames during stacking.
