Round Seat Salon Stools with Metal Bases

This salon stool uses a round seat pad mounted on a metal base, designed for stylists, beauty therapists, and clinical staff who remain seated for extended periods while working at close range. The seat pad is 340 mm in diameter and uses a 55 kg/m³ molded foam core covered in commercial-grade PU or vinyl. The metal base is available in three configurations: a fixed four-leg frame, a five-star base with casters, and a hydraulic lift column with a foot ring. The hydraulic version adjusts seat height from 480 mm to 640 mm, allowing use across standing and seated work positions. The stool is intended for hair salons, barbershops, beauty clinics, tattoo studios, and veterinary examination rooms.

Common Questions and Solutions

Which base type suits a hair salon cutting station?
The hydraulic lift base with a foot ring is commonly used at cutting stations because stylists adjust seat height between standing and seated work. The five-star caster base suits stations where the stylist moves between chairs. The fixed four-leg base suits reception or waiting area seating.
How does the round seat affect working posture?
A round seat has no front edge to press against the back of the thigh, which allows the user to sit at an angle relative to the work surface. This reduces the need to lean forward and maintains circulation during extended seated work.
Can the upholstery be replaced?
The seat pad is mounted to the base plate with four screws. Replacement seat pads in the same or different upholstery can be ordered separately and installed without replacing the metal base. This is common in salons that change color schemes.
How should PU and vinyl upholstery be cleaned?
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap after each shift. For hair dye or chemical spills, use a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol and wipe immediately. Do not use abrasive pads or bleach-based cleaners, which can break down the surface coating over time.

Notes for Installation and Use

A

Confirm the hydraulic lift functions through the full 160 mm range before placing the stool in service. Do not use if the seat descends under load without the lever engaged.

Inspect the weld between the base plate and the column every 6 months in salons that operate more than 8 hours per day.

Castors are intended for use on hard floors or low-pile carpet. Do not use caster versions on thick carpet or outdoor surfaces.

D

The foot ring on hydraulic models is not designed to support full body weight. Use it for footrest only, not as a step.
